The TTT Inc. Holding Group is interested in a variety of Waste-to-Energy Plant systems:
For many years TTT has experimented with a variety of technologies to reprocess municipal waste into reusable materials:
TTT Central Africa Development Company and its co-owner Enedom Energique (Rwanda) were recently awarded a UK BLCF partial grant for a project to process 25 MT per day of municipal waste into energy briquettes for energy generation.
Feasibility and Impact Assessment of a proposed project to Briquette Municipal Solid waste for use as a cooking fuel in Rwanda (Acrobat PDF, 54 pages, 320K)This Feasibility Study was prepared by Intermediate Technology Consultants Ltd (ITC), Heather Mackay - Project Manager - Sustainable Livelihoods, Bourton Hall, Bourton-on-Dunsmore, Rugby, CV23 9QZ, UK, Tel: 44-1926-634496, Fax: 44-1926-63440, E-mail: heather.mackay@itdg.org.uk, http://www.itcltd.com/itc.htm.
It was financed by the Business Linkages Challenger Funds of the UK DFID (www.challengefunds.org). The BLCF is a cost-sharing grant scheme i.e. it gives grants to enterprises to achieve DFID's objective of developing commercially sustainable business linkages that bring benefits to the poor. It is a way of working in partnership with the private sector towards the goal of poverty eradication. The Fund encourages and supports the formation of business linkages by enterprises in developing countries with each other and/or with international partners. These linkages must bring enhanced competitiveness and generate clear benefits for the poor. The linkages involve an investment of resources by all members of the linkage - skills, technology, information, facilities, supplies and access to markets. The linkages, in turn, bring benefits to all members and to poor people. Bidding is competitive and grants are allocated according to the degree to which bids meet BLCF criteria and objectives. Funding comes from the UK Government's Department for International Development (DFID). The BLCF offers grants of between £50,000 to £1,000,000 (larger grants may be considered in some cases if they will make a special contribution to achieving the BLCF's objectives).

Similarly the new TTT Ukraine Development company will in the 2004-2005 timeframe implement a multistage facility for the processing into briquettes of wood/sawdust and/or charcoal wastes
